Hilary and Steve are both deeply committed to supporting and inspiring Gifted & Talented pupils in a variety of ways, both in their local community and further afield.

• they have produced a range of books for Gifted & Talented pupils aged between 5 and 14.
• they work with Gifted & Talented pupils in schools each week, providing withdrawal lessons to extend and inspire the more able mathematicians
• they provide 'Mathematics Masterclasses' for students up to the age of 16

Books Hilary and Steve have written include the popular 'Star Maths' series (Letts Educational) for 11 to 14 year olds, which is recommended highly by Bernadette Tynan, the world-famous author of 'Your Child Can Think Like a Genius' (Harper Collins).

Regarding the Star Maths Classbook, Bernadette wrote: 'In a word I think the book is brilliant…..the imagination pours out of every page. This book breaks new boundaries, bringing together for Maths teachers, for the first time I believe, all the different things they need to think about, but often because of lack of time, cannot do for themselves. I think this book will be a very welcome asset to any Mathematics department. It covers all the aces expected in an inspection for example also.
